About / Contact
Tommy Gutierrez is a Seattle-based songwriter, composer, and recording artist whose work encompasses decades of original songs, instrumental compositions, recordings, and musical projects.
His history moves between full bands, acoustic solo work, improvisation, layered performance, and audiovisual storytelling. Songwriting, rhythm, atmosphere, and experimentation connect the work across different genres and eras.
A musical life across projects
Tommy played drums and keyboards and sang in Opus Cane. On the ten-song acoustic album Exposed to the Elements, he wrote, performed, and recorded every part. Flyrod explored the energy and flexibility of live arrangement, while Mr Looper collected improvisations, layered performances, and creative experiments.
